About the speakers

Josh Gittins is a Senior Scientist working for Arup’s Climate & Sustainability Services based in Bristol. He specialises in the restoration and recovery of the natural environment, and how we can implement nature-based solutions across the built environment to better facilitate sustainable development.
Alex Nicholson is a principal consultant and digital water specialist with a focus on nature-based solutions and ecosystem services assessment. He is the technical lead and product owner for NatureInsight – a tool designed to identify opportunities for nature-based solutions and quantify their benefits to flood risk, climate mitigation and habitat creation. With project experience in Africa, India, Europe, Australasia, North and South America, Alex is regularly sought after to provide steer and guidance on complex and technically demanding problems in the water space.
