Now you know who we, the Delivery Associates are, how can places make the most of our time and expertise?

Connect with us

We want to make the most of the time that we schedule in your busy diaries – this will be about connecting you to the right people and for you to help us understand the challenges you are facing. Following our initial meeting, we may bring in Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and at this point it is also important to connect the SMEs to the right people in your team, be it transport & highways colleagues, legal colleagues, procurement teams or whoever else might need to be involved. Also, do let us know if it would be appropriate to bring in anyone from your appointed consultant team.

Share with us

Share as much as you can. This is where we also think meeting face to face where possible would facilitate and speed up discussions – in my experience it is easier to build rapport with each other and get to the nitty gritty when in a room together, as well as being able to have wider contextual discussions that might also be relevant to help us tailor our support and advice. Part of our remit is also to support you in networking and upskilling each other so sharing positive stories and lessons learned with us will also help us develop the capacity and capability of teams across the UK.

Help us help you

There are a number of ways we can work together to get the best outcomes for your projects. Before we meet, it would be great if you might start to consider the specialist expertise that we have available, as set out in the Welcome Pack, and consider what help you might need. We will then work with you to tailor the support package as appropriate. Also, do consider the opportunities for group learning – for example, what learning and upskilling would help you best? What examples or case studies do you want more information on? Would you be interested in being introduced to other like-minded practitioners to share best practice and lessons learned?

We also want to work with pace. We want to help you mitigate issues before as quickly as possible. If you have ideas on how we can best work together (and with you) then let us know – whether that’s through ad hoc discussions, emails, virtual or hybrid meetings, and if in person we can come to you, or you can come to us in our regional office locations. We have the capacity to be flexible to help you work with us to enable speedy deployment of support.

Trust us

We are a group of people who like working with people and are driven to help you succeed – most of us have a personal interest in supporting the levelling up agenda and genuinely want to enact our purpose to make positive change. You can talk candidly to us with no judgement and share your views on the programme.
